A saw lead that climbs by interval: osc 2 starts a fifth above and the Interval macro runs its Detune up to an octave and a fifth, nineteen semitones, in one sweep, with the knob's travel set to Range 19. Turn it slowly for a rising harmony, fast for a siren of fifths. Macros: Interval, Cutoff, Space. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

KB OUT into CUTOFF IN on top of 1:1 tracking: low notes are dark and round, high ones bright and nasal, so a line changes colour as it climbs. A slow LFO turns the pulse's width. Play lines that jump across two octaves. Macros: Cutoff, Bite, Rate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A short plucked saw with a second voice a minor third above, three semitones: one finger plays a minor chord shape, the sad little interval inside the old seven-semitone Detune. Left at Range 7, where a turn of the knob still reaches a fifth. Quick and dry, for staccato lines. Macros: Third, Cutoff, Decay. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A warm pad turning slowly in a tub of its own: two detuned saws through a soft ladder into Jacuzza alone, round bubbles drifting up and down through them in series with a breath of jets, the lows left solid. Hold long notes and let the water turn; Swirl speeds it up. Macros: Swirl, Bubbles, Jets, Bright. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A soaring saw lead flanged by Jacuzza's jets, a deep rush climbing and falling under every note. Take-Off does nothing until halfway, then holds Surge: the swirl speeds up and the jets deepen over a second and a half, then settle when it comes back down. Learn it to the mod wheel and pull it up for the take-off. Macros: Take-Off, Jets, Swirl, Bright, Glide, Space. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A saw-and-square bass whose top lurches through Jacuzza while its bottom stays put: under 120 Hz the tub leaves it dry, so the weight holds while bubbles and jets churn over it, every swing a different height. Play a riff of held notes and let it turn. Macros: Churn, Swirl, Cutoff, Jets. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A psychedelic stab: two saws a fifth apart snapped shut by the filter, through Jacuzza on Split, its bubbles and jets side by side and wandering, then ping-pong echoes and a spring, so every hit swirls off into the room. Play short hits and move them around the keyboard; the fifth moves with you. Macros: Swirl, Jets, Echo, Spring, Bright. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
Pressure building under the ground: pink noise and two low saws swell through a fuzz into Jacuzza's deep, dark jets and a huge hall. Erupt lets the swell open the tub: turned up, Surge takes hold as the swell crests, the swirl racing and the jets deepening, and lets go as it falls; at full Erupt it holds through the sustain until you let go. Hold a low note for the build and let go for the steam. Macros: Erupt, Jets, Fuzz, Space, Rise. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
The round funk bass of the classic monos: one saw, the ladder low with no resonance, a quick envelope that closes to nothing while the note stays up, and Earth's harmonics so the round tail reads on small speakers. Play short, syncopated sixteenths and leave space. Macros: Cutoff, Env Amt, Decay. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A squelchier funk bass: resonance up, a deeper, faster envelope and a square under the saw. Harder notes squelch more. Play it with dynamics, ghost notes soft and accents hard. Macros: Squelch, Decay, Cutoff. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A bouncy, rubbery round bass that slides between overlapping notes, with a short slap echo behind it and Earth's harmonics so the line reads on small speakers. Play legato to slide, detached to jump; it walks well. Macros: Glide, Cutoff, Echo. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A singing, gliding bass for long prog lines: a saw and a detuned square slide between overlapping notes, with a light chorus spreading it. Play legato runs and let it swoop. Macros: Glide, Cutoff, Chorus. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A woody, plucked upright: a triangle with a whisper of saw and noise for the finger, dying away like a string through a gentle 12 dB slope, in a small wooden room, with a little of Earth's harmonics so the walk is heard on a laptop. Play walking quarter notes; harder notes speak brighter. Macros: Ring, Tone, Room. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A soft, rounded saw through the ladder at its gentlest slope, 6 dB: the harmonics are there but felted over, warmed by a gentle saturation, Earth's Body keeping it heard on a laptop, and a light squeeze holding it even. Warm under keys and vocals; play it sustained or short. Macros: Tone, Body, Squeeze, Warmth. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A short, snapping pluck: saw and square, the envelope slamming the ladder open and shut and the note gone in a quarter second, a hard squeeze on top. Play tight, repeated eighths. Macros: Decay, Cutoff, Snap. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
An electric finger-style bass: a triangle with a narrow pulse for the string's edge, a gentle 12 dB slope and a long, natural decay, evened by a slow compressor, Earth's harmonics carrying it onto small speakers. Play it as a bassist would, notes held for their length. Macros: Tone, Edge, Decay. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A muted, thudding pick bass: the note is gone almost before it starts, with the faintest pitch dip on each pluck. Play fast, driving eighths; it stays tight at any tempo. Macros: Length, Cutoff, Thud. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A hollow, nasal pluck: the mixer runs through the HPF before the ladder, so the low end is thinned and the pulses honk. Cuts through a busy mix; play staccato lines in the octave above C2. Macros: Hollow, Cutoff, Decay. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A disco-style octave bass: a saw with a square an octave above, a short filter snap over a held level. Play the root and its octave in alternating eighths. Macros: Cutoff, Octave, Decay. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A slapped bass: a fast pitch pop and a velocity-driven filter snap on every note, a steep compressor catching the peaks. Hit low notes hard for the slap, high ones softer for the pop. Macros: Pop, Cutoff, Decay. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
The classic two-saw mono bass: both oscillators at 16', slightly apart, warming the mixer, into the 24 dB ladder with a firm envelope, then a warm saturation. The one to reach for first; plays anything from roots to busy lines. Macros: Cutoff, Emphasis, Decay, Warmth. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
Osc 2 a fifth above osc 1, both saws: every note is a power chord, thick and open, a warm saturation gluing the two. Play single roots; the fifth comes free. Macros: Cutoff, Fifth, Decay, Warmth. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A brassy mono bass that swells: a short attack on the envelope lets each note bloom open, like a horn section's low end. Play held notes on the beat and let them open. Macros: Swell, Cutoff, Brass. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
A funk bass with an auto-wah on the mod wheel: wheel down it is a plain resonant saw-and-square bass; push the wheel up and the LFO sweeps the ladder. Ride the wheel on held notes. Macros: Rate, Wah, Cutoff. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.
