PADPulsar Pad

A slow-changing pad that pulses: warm detuned saws step to a new note of your chord every half note, swelling in, while a tremolo chops it into sixteenths on the song's tempo. Hold a chord over a whole section. Macros: Pulse, Cutoff, Gap, Space. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

arp · pulsing · slow · tremolo
PADGlide Bloom

A dreamy, liquid pad: a soft triangle and saw sliding slowly from note to note of your chord in quarter notes, up three octaves and back down, blooming into a chorus and a long hall. Hold a chord and let it drift. Macros: Glide, Bright, Gap, Space. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

arp · glide · dreamy · slow
FX/PERCData Bleeps

A computer thinking out loud: short sine-like bleeps in a random order over three octaves, each step a new random filter colour, with a gritty echo. Hold any cluster, the wider the busier; the speed follows the song. Macros: Res, Bright, Echo, Length. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

arp · random · computer · sci-fi
FX/PERCLaser Volley

A volley of laser shots: every step a saw and a square diving three octaves into the note, firing in sixteenths up two octaves of what you hold, bouncing across the sides in a ping-pong echo. Hold one note for a steady barrage, a chord for a firefight. Macros: Dive, Snap, Echo, Res. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

arp · laser · sci-fi · zap
FX/PERCLadder Drum Loop

A drum loop from the ringing ladder: a burst of noise pings the self-oscillating filter, tuned to each note, so low notes are toms and kicks and high ones are clicks and blips, played in a random sixteenth-note order. Hold a spread of low and high notes for a groove. Macros: Ring, Tone, Room, Hit. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

arp · perc · rhythmic · ping
BASSFloor Sub

A clean, deep sub: one triangle through a closed ladder, held level by a compressor so every note weighs the same, the EQ cutting the rumble under it. Earth adds the sub's harmonics above 150 Hz, so the line still reads on a phone or a laptop. Play long notes from C2 to C4 under a kick. Macros: Grit brings in a square an octave up, Tone opens the filter, Punch adds envelope, Phone adds more of Earth's Body. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

sub · deep · clean · compressed · small speakers
BASSAccent Acid Line

A squelching acid line that plays itself: sixteen sixteenths with slides and accents written in, the accented steps biting harder through the filter. Hold a key (C2 plays it as written) and move to other keys to transpose it; ride Cutoff and Squelch. Seq 2 is a busier variation. Macros: Cutoff, Squelch, Decay, Grit. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · acid · squelchy · slide
BASSGallop Run

A driving rock gallop, an eighth and two sixteenths on every beat, two saws growling through the amp with the low end filled back in. Hold E1 or E2 to run it as written, and shift keys for the changes; it pairs with a straight kick. Macros: Cutoff, Amp, Low End, Gate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · rock · gallop · driving
BASSOffbeat Sub

A minimal techno sub on the offbeats, the space left for the kick: a round triangle with a soft square underneath and a quick filter blip, the octave jumping up on the last beat of the bar. Hold C2 and let it run under a four-on-the-floor kick. Macros: Cutoff, Blip, Sub, Length. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · techno · sub · minimal
BASSPhone Funk Line

A syncopated funk line that carries on small speakers: the Pedalboard splits in two, one lane clean and round, the other driven hard through the amp with its lows cut, so only the new harmonics join the bass. Hold E2 for the groove as written; accents pop through the filter. Macros: Edge, Cutoff, Pop, Gate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · funk · syncopated · small speakers
BASSElectro Bounce

A bouncy electro-funk bass: a square with a saw on top, each step thrown up in pitch for a rubbery boing, the accented hits brighter and the octaves sliding into each other. Hold C2 and let it bounce; try Fwd/Bkwd for a new shape. Macros: Boing, Cutoff, Squeeze, Slide. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · electro · bouncy · rubbery
BASSPsy Roll

The tight, rolling psytrance bass: three clipped sixteenths after every kick, a saw snapping through a quick filter blip, with the clock at 142 when it runs on its own. Hold a key low on the keyboard (E1 to A1) and change it every few bars. Macros: Cutoff, Snap, Resonance, Gate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · psytrance · rolling · tight
BASSSteppers Dub

A deep, warm dub bass walking a minor line in eighths, two soft triangles with the sub reinforced, long notes leaving room for the offbeat. Hold G1 or G2 for the line as written; rest a hand on the filter. Macros: Warmth, Cutoff, Sub, Length. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · dub · reggae · warm
LEADSync Riff

A snarling sync riff in sixteenths: osc 2 hard-synced and swept down from high on every step, so each note tears in and settles, with a dotted-eighth echo trailing it. Hold A3 for the riff as written and move it with your other hand. Macros: Tear, Cutoff, Echo, Gate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · sync · riff · aggressive
LEADSlide Hook

A singing synth-pop hook in eighths, square and saw slightly apart, the tied notes gliding into each other, in a light chorus, an echo and a plate. Hold C4 for the hook as written and change key for the next chord. Macros: Bright, Slide, Echo, Space. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · synth-pop · glide · hook
LEADAccent Wah Lead

A funky talking lead: every accented step opens the resonant filter like a wah pedal stamped down, the rest stay vocal and nasal. Hold E3 or E4 for the line as written, play other keys for the changes, and ride Cutoff. Macros: Cutoff, Resonance, Room, Gate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · funk · wah · vocal
BASSFloorboard Saws

A huge, slow-blooming pedal bass: a saw an octave under a second, detuned saw, through the ladder with a long release so each note hangs as you lift off, warmed by a dark saturation. Play single held roots with your left hand, as a foot would. Macros: Detune, Cutoff, Release, Warmth. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

classic mono · pedal · thick · long release · warm
FX/PERCRatchet Climb

A ratcheting sci-fi riser: thirty-second notes climbing a chromatic octave through a hard-synced, snapping pulse, echoing in sixteenths, then starting over. Hold any key and let it climb; hold it longer and Seq 2 falls back down. Macros: Snap, Cutoff, Echo, Gate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · riser · ratchet · sci-fi
LEADThree Phrases

A singing saw lead with a gentle vibrato that carries a slow minor melody in three phrases, one in each sequence, in a hall with a quarter-note echo. Hold D4 for it as written; switch Seq 1, 2 and 3 to move through the phrases, each landing on the next bar. Macros: Bright, Vibrato, Echo, Space. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · melodic · singing · cinematic
KEYS/PLUCKMallet Ostinato

A hypnotic wooden mallet pattern of twelve sixteenths in a small hall, a triangle struck by its own fourth harmonic. Hold D4 for it as written. Seq 2 is the same pattern one step shorter: switch to it and it slips against the bar, a new accent every time round. Macros: Knock, Ring, Room, Gate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · minimal · mallet · hypnotic
KEYS/PLUCKPendulum Pluck

A glassy pluck swinging up a pentatonic run and back down again, the sequence running forward then backward, into a ping-pong echo and a plate. Hold C4 for it as written; any key moves the whole swing. Macros: Cutoff, Pluck, Echo, Space. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · pluck · glassy · fwd/bkwd
KEYS/PLUCKSkank Organ

The reggae organ skank on every offbeat: a square and a triangle a fifth above it, short and percussive, in a small room, doubling up at the end of the bar. Hold C4 for the chord's root and move it with the changes. Macros: Length, Bright, Room, Fifth. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · reggae · offbeat · organ
KEYS/PLUCKWind-Up Melody

A little music-box tune that plays itself, high triangle tines with a faint metallic shimmer, warbling slightly like an old mechanism, in a plate. Hold C5 for it as written, or lower for a darker box. Macros: Shimmer, Ring, Warble, Space. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · music box · lullaby · sweet
KEYS/PLUCKSwing Clav Groove

A quacking clav playing a swung sixteenth-note funk part, the accented steps digging in harder, the lows trimmed so it sits above the bass. Hold C4 for it as written; ride Swing to loosen or tighten the groove. Macros: Quack, Swing, Cutoff, Gate. Macro 8, Master, is the output level.

seq · funk · clav · swing
